Fabulous Outdoor Eatery

I think the restaurant Cecconi's Miami Beach at the Soho Beach House designed by Martin Brudnizki is too cool. I love the diagonal teal stipe floor, mason jar lanterns, plush upholstered chairs and, mostly, the tree emerging from the dining room.

Really Cool Office Space

I love the identical his and hers workstations - this is the NYC loft (home) offices of photographers Laura Resen and Cloud Devines. They designed their home with Thomas O'Brien.

No Cohesion in my posting, I know

...but I love to collect ideas - design is everywhere and I love it all. This is a Manhattan living room designed by Iain Halliday. I admire little details in rooms (and, really, in all things) - when there is no possibility of something being overlooked. Like how in this room the window seat is upholstered in a nice, muted leather. The Louis XVI bergeres are upholstered in ikat. Wire chair by Knoll - love! - and rug is Beauvais Carpets. All in all, love this room and all its subtle vibrancy.

I think this is a cute - well it's a bit more bold than cute - mirror for a powder room. The medicine cabinet is custom designed by LA interior designer Alexandra Angle.

Clean kitchen

I like the look of this kitchen - it's clean and simple and modern but I don't think it's stark. Cabinets are by Arclinea with quartz countertops. Lovely.

I Am Obsessed With Home Design...

Megan Mullally's Hollywood home is perfect. PERFECT! Her home is featured in this month's Elle Decor. If I had the money, I would replicate it today. Well, emulate it. I don't know if I am much of a pink person... The powder room walls are wonderful - I always envision my future home to have bold, bold wallpapers in the bathrooms. Love the look.

Brooklyn Home - I LOVE

This is the residence of two abnormally talented people - everything about it is perfect. Quirky but tame. I want to move in right now. Owners Lyndsay Caleo and Fitzhugh Karol are a goldsmith & interior designer and woodworker & interior designer respectively. Their home is enviable.

my new obsession

I feel as though - or I should say I know - I have run across Madeline Weinrib's textiles and rugs before but I never knew her name or background or how extensive her collection was. She is the granddaughter of the founder of ABC Carpet & Home and she apparently was born with an inherent knack for design. Everything she does is so fresh and fun and unpretentious. I would like one of her rugs in my home. I need to make more money. :)

Funny - finding images online to post and saw a living room with one of her rugs that I have pasted in my living room section of my design scrap book. Knew I saw her work before! The room above is Nate Berkus's living room - maybe in Chicago? Love!
