No Cohesion in my posting, I know

...but I love to collect ideas - design is everywhere and I love it all. This is a Manhattan living room designed by Iain Halliday. I admire little details in rooms (and, really, in all things) - when there is no possibility of something being overlooked. Like how in this room the window seat is upholstered in a nice, muted leather. The Louis XVI bergeres are upholstered in ikat. Wire chair by Knoll - love! - and rug is Beauvais Carpets. All in all, love this room and all its subtle vibrancy.

I want and I will get.

I stumbled across this very chic bag by David Galan and I instantly wanted it! The colors are so spot on and pretty and bold and fun and oh so me. Love! Love! Love!

All you need is a little mirror, right?

I think this is a cute - well it's a bit more bold than cute - mirror for a powder room. The medicine cabinet is custom designed by LA interior designer Alexandra Angle.

Art-Inspired Tattoo

I am an admirer of tattoos. Don't think my body is the place for one but others definitely are. Here is a great one inspired by Salvador Dali. Love it. Everything about it.

The fantastic meal I made last night!

Snow day yesterday so I thought I'd throw together a dinner worthy of the blustery weather outside. Super easy - super scrumptious - super beautiful! I have never made farro before - it's very easy to make and tastes rustic and perfect (especially when paired with wild mushrooms and really good parmesan)! Recipe was complements of food52.com. Entree was a roasted chicken with prosciutto and rosemary - so moist and wonderful! This is possibly the start of my homely culinary career! :)
